​Coach Lonnie "PRIME" Harrell

 Lonnie Harrell is a DC Native who played at Eastern High School in DC, Georgetown University, Northeastern University, had stints with the NBA, Internationally and in the NBA D League. Lonnie finished his career as a member of the And 1 Mixtape Tour. He returned to DC to give back to the youth in his area by sharing his experiences through the game of basketball. Taking a Family First aproach and teachings of focus, leadership, confidence and being the best teammate you can be, has made Team Prime one of the top Organizations in the DMV and a National force to be reckoned with. After one year of starting girls grass roots basketball, His first team Lady Prime 11U finished 2nd at the USBA Nationals playing in an older age bracket., then finishing in 1st place in the NTBA Nationals. 

Today, as the Coach of the GUAA DC Premier Prime squad, we play up in the 17U age group. Our goals are to develop complete all around basketball players, leaders, confidence, and become the best teammates a player can be. We are on the right path of accomplishing our goal.

#3 Zy'Aire Hairston 5'7
PG 2022

  • Zy is a true PG. She see's the floor as well as any player in any class. Shes able to make every pass on the floor and makes scorers happy with her IQ.
  • Her ball handling skills are top notch. Pushes the ball under pressure while still seeing the floor. Can beat her defender off the dribble and get into the paint to make a play. Deseptive quickness.
  • She can move to the 2 as well and fill up the score board. She began in her early years as a 2 and filled the stat sheet up. Now she has transitioned into a mature floor general with range on her jump shot.
  • Lead her Varsity team at Dunbar to the DCIAA Chmpionship and recieved MVP of the game and made All Conference 2nd team as a 9th grader. She will be attending Riverdale Baptist next season. 
  • Defense needs to be more consistent. 

#1 Imani James 5'8

  • Imani is new to the Highly competitive top tier of grass roots basketball. After seeing Imani play Middle School in the DMV, we saw that she had some things that could be tweeked and make her a dangerous player.
  • Imani is a great on the ball defender with a length and great lateral movement. She wants to play defense and will guard the teams best player.
  • Shes an average shooter outside the 3 point line, but attacks the basket hard. Left handed and knows how to use it ro her advantage and finish with contact. She's strong attacking the basket in half court.
  • Has been working hard on handlling the ball in open court, can get to her spots and finish in the paint in.
  • ​High level competitor. 

#15 Jaida Belton 6'3

  • 2nd year player who has jumped leaps and bounds in her development
  • Very good defender, shot blocker and rebounder. Good passer and makes good outlet passes and runs the floor. 
  • Plays with contact and very physical
  • Very good timing and instincts
  • Offensive footwork has improved
  • Soft touch and can finish around the basket. Can shoot out to 15 feet
  • Hands are developing

#5 Kirah Dandridge 5'9
G/W 2022

  • Talia is a pure shooter with range and a magician with the ball.
  • She can beat her defender off the dribble and finish at the rim. Her comparison on her finishes is the Female Kyrie Irving.
  • Defensively she's a good on ball defender. She's working hard to get even better. Willing defender!
  • She has good court vision, but has to throw harder passes to keep the turnovers low on the next level.
  • Probably the most skilled player on the team.
  • ​Athletic and is the 4th leading rebounder and 2nd in shot blocking.
  • She lead her Varsity team to the PVAC Championship twice and left with MVP honors both times.
  • ​She was also named conference 1st Team and Player of the year as a 9th and 10th grader . She will be attending Riverdale Baptist next Fall. 
  • Kirah is a lock down defender and 3 point shooter
  • She has transitioned from a wing/post player to a shooting guard and Point Guard over the past two years
  • She's a high energy, fundamental and physical defender
  • Good size and can get to her spots
  • Has improved finishing and added a mid range pull up
  • ​Has good court vision
